The date is 12 May 1966. With the roads cleared and the major AA positions surrounding Hill 220 disabled, the way is clear for an advance on one of the most fortified NVA positions in the entire region. B Company's exemplary service in taking over the sappers' work and clearing the route has seen them given the honour of leading the charge on the hill, with Broadsword Platoon leading the way. An extensive artillery barrage will prepare the hill, and air support will keep the enemy's head down, but it is still expected to be a hellish advance.
